Prantik Mazumder

Prantik is a self-taught photographer and a research scientist, originally from Kolkata, India. Most of his work is travel photography. He likes to immerse himself in an unfamiliar environment and let the place guide subject and style. He still shoots film because he just likes the feel of it, randomly choosing between film and digital.

Prantik has a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering, a Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Materials Science).  He has lived in Ithaca, New York since 2001.
